Good afternoon!

How are you doing, dear friend??? I know it's been a while; real life is sooooooo busy for us in the fall - between photo sessions, craft fairs, and classes, I end up wiped out. :) But that's the season for me. I take December off, so I can enjoy friends and family without being SICK the entire month, and to enjoy the quiet winter mornings, the twinkling lights, and a hot cup of tea any time I wish. :)
What season are you in right now? Is it a busy season for you? Do you feel like you're chasing your tail? :) Or are you in a fallow season, wondering what God has for you next?
He's told us there's a season for everything! No worries. Keep chasing after Him, and He will lead you into each and every season, every activity you're to do! Be sure to consult Him, THEN your calendar, before you add something new! :D
My stamping business is keeping me SUPER-busy right now; I've got two craft fairs next month, and I also show my customers lots of new things during this time of year. I'm further ahead than NORMAL, but that's not saying much. :D PLEASE don't let me totally off the hook; leave me a message if I'm gone too long!!!!!
YOU ARE LOVED, dear friend. God loves you. He cherishes you, cares for you, and seeks an intimate time with you! Count your blessings - don't forget! We're going to start posting ONE thing a day in November!!! :)

It's FINALLY fall!

Good evening, dear ones! It's FINALLY beginning to cool down here - today was such a beautiful day here. Kenn and I went to the orchard, and took a wonderful drive in the country. It was cool, and clear, and just beautiful. :) I love days like today!

God is SO good. He gives us days like this to enjoy. Have you taken the time to look around and see what He's blessed you with out your window?
You MUST go see FIREPROOF. Seriously. Even if you're not in a relationship, it's SO worth your support and worth SEEING. I can't tell you enough - GO. Check out the link! And take a tissue with you..... :D
Many of you are facing trials again right now; I've heard from several of you. Please remember to lift each other up in prayer, dear ones. You NEVER know when God will bring someone to mind, and how important it is you say a prayer right then!
I'm going to run; Kenn's on his way home from an assignment right now, and he has to leave quite early in the morning.
Be blessed, dear one. Open your eyes to the blessings God has poured out on you already - it will AMAZE you when you start looking. He LOVES you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honor Thy Father & Mother

Good morning, everyone. I'm SO sorry I haven't posted in a while; I have all these thoughts buzzing in my head, and they won't stand still long enough to sort and get down into writing! ::::::::sigh:::::::::::: I hope you'll forgive me! :)

Today I want to honor my mom and dad. This is them!

Actually, this picture's almost 2 years old. They don't seem to hold still long enough to take a picture of the two of them TOGETHER very often. :)

My mom and dad are REALLY giving. They offered us a place to live when we didn't know what God was doing in our lives - we still share a house with them! They are ALWAYS there when I need them, for anything. When a crisis arises - as they seem to, often, in Kenn & my lives!!! - they are always there, even if we only get a sympathetic ear and good, Godly advice. :)

Mom takes care of me a LOT. She purchases most of my prescriptions; she gives me money to get used clothing and books. She puts up with my mood shifts and a-political attitudes. :D She's been one of my best friends for the last ten years, and I am so grateful for her!!!

Dad is so looking forward to retirement that I think he has trouble seeing straight sometimes. :D He's become much more light-hearted when he gets to stay home, with a ready laugh and a conversation with Kenn coming easily. This week, he blessed both Rhonda and me with a ticket for her to come for Thanksgiving - the first holiday her ex-husband will have the kids - so she doesn't have to be by herself. I haven't seen her since my wedding. :) Thank you, Dad.

I don't tell them often enough how much I love them, how blessed I am by them, how grateful I am for everything they do for me. God teaches me how to love so many times by their examples. I am SO blessed to have Godly parents.

I just wanted to honor them today, in a special way. :)

Happy Monday!

Good morning! How are you today? Did you have a good Mother's Day? Not only was it Mother's Day here, but also my mom's 60th birthday. THANK YOU to those of you who sent cards; I'll be making a slide show of those cards she received later this week, when she's tired of looking at them. :D

Kenn & I were in charge of dinner - Dad financed some of it. :D Kenn grilled veggies and ribeyes; we also had corn on the cob, baked white & sweet potatoes, and asparagus - and then a chocolate fondue with both semisweet & white chocolate sauces, LOTS of strawberries - my mom LOVES them - bananas and angel food cake. It was YUMMY. :)

SO. Lots of weather activities across the world this weekend; I pray you're safe! We were blessed by the severe storm systems Saturday night splitting and going completely around us. Kenn stayed up to keep a watch, but it was evident to him by 12:30 that we were going to be OK. God is good. And GOODNESS! The WIND we had all day yesterday!!!! When we went out to the car to go to Sunday school, the rose petals were scattered for YARDS!!!

These are some of the roses that I cut and arranged for a centerpiece for Mom. :) I used the buttercup-yellow bowl I showed in Show & Tell a while ago to arrange them in; it was low enough that it didn't hide the person on the other side of the table. :D Dad's roses are always beautiful!!

Well, it's Monday. What did you learn at church yesterday? Kenn & I came home after Sunday school; since I'm not a mom, I don't enjoy Mother's Day sermons much. :) Plus, I wanted to honor my mom with having a good lunch prepared!
Sunday school was more about Joseph, and the path to reconciliation. But we had a LOT of prayer requests, and that took a lot of time - lesson was short, which was OK with me. I think, honestly, that a lot of time we equate reconciliation with resumption of the relationship - and it's not the same. I feel it's important to reconcile, but that doesn't mean that the right thing to do is to pick up the relationship where you left off. I have an ex-friend with whom I reconciled, but did not resume the relationship - and even then, she did the SAME THING that caused the problem in the first place. She has no desire for reconciliation, and honestly, that's OK. That's her problem. I'm trusting God - and I have no pain from losing the relationship.
SO. :) What did YOU learn yesterday? What was your Mother's Day like? If your a mom, were you honored in the way(s) in which you'd like to be? Do you feel cherished today?
Talk to me, ladies! :D
Have a WONDERFUL, BLESSED day. Remember you are a child of the King, highly favored. If you're loved by Him, the rest of your world will see His love in you!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Monday - Share What You Learned At Church!!!

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. ~John 7:37-39

Hello, dear reader!!! I know it's been a couple of days since you've "heard" from me. I do apologize, but life has a way of doing that to me sometimes. :)

Monday is SHARE WHAT YOU LEARNED AT CHURCH day. I can't WAIT to hear what God spoke to your heart!!!!!! If you want to share the sermon's points and Scripture, that's awesome - but please make sure that you share what God placed in your heart from the sermon, too! :)

Yesterday's sermon was on marriage and mates. On waiting on God's best, on His wanting to give you the desires of your heart. Pastor Lane talked about the differences in the ways men and women think, and their emotions and needs being different. He summed up his sermon with these four questions we should ask ourselves:

  1. What do you like about your marriage?
  2. What do you DISLIKE about your marriage?
  3. What would you change about your mate?
  4. What would you be willing to change about yourself?

Aha! GOOD, thought-provoking questions, don't you think? And am I the ONLY woman whose answers would depend on what day you asked me them????? Seriously. There are some days when I KNOW I'm the most blessed woman on the planet, and other days when, well...!

I'm PLANNING on being able to really share with you tomorrow, barring unforseen circumstances. We were gone for twelve solid hours yesterday, and I've been gone most of the day today - and have to leave for auditions again in just over an hour - so I need to get a couple more things accomplished before I go. PHEW. :)

Please share with me! What did YOU get touched by yesterday? How are YOU doing??????

Don't forget! Tomorrow is HOW I AM DOING WITH MY GOALS day! :)

God BLESS you, dear reader. May His living water bathe your heart, and come bubbling forth from you!
