Taste!

Goodness! It's been quite a week. Just talking to Kenn about what happened, and what we think church should be, and where to go from here - and all the time, trying to check everything I say and do against Scripture, to be sure I don't sin.
Thanks be to GOD that he's given us His Word to go by! Even if it does cause trouble in interpretation, those parts I understand, I can use. That's what He's wanting of me. So, I walk in the understanding He's given me - and His Word is sweet, and comforting, and sustains me.
I'm not going to lie and say everything's all better; I'm still glad it happened quickly, but the relationships are fractured, and that grieves me. Please pray for that, too, dear friends. I SO appreciate your thoughts and prayers!!!
God's working in our hearts, too. I think we're both much more sensitive to what He's trying to tell us. I've seen Kenn seek reconciliation in a relationship with a dear online friend, and my heart rejoices! :)
Please share with me what God is doing in YOUR life right now. If you need prayer, please let me know. I FIRMLY believe that the church Christ started is about caring for each other, lifting each other up, encouraging each other - praising God together, and seeking His face about decisions and hardships we each go through. HE CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise His name, He is GOOD, all the time! He loves each one of us, my friends. What an AWESOME thing that is!!!!

I am Praising His Holy Name! Thank You Lori! You have been in my life daily and I love having you with me. (Kenn also)

You give me so much comfort just knowing you are there. As you know, life has been very difficult for me for a very long time. The passing of my Dad last month has just put me over the edge. Your prayers and Heavenly Reflections have helped me smile when feel sad, scared and lonely. Thank You for being there for me.
Warm Hugs,
Kimmie

Lori...WELL SAID my friend. WELL SAID! And YES! Praise God for the new windows He has let light shine through. Though its ALWAYS more comforting to run back to what we are used to...to those same relationships, those same "friends" maybe its time for new ones. God has a plan and even though we dont always understand and DEFINITELY dont agree...He IS in control. Bless you AND Kenn, PRAISE GOD you have each other and can console within that greatly. Many blessings falling down upon you!---B

Lori, Something I've been wanting to share with both you and Kenn is this: Don't try to be all "resilient" and "upbeat" and get over it all very quickly. It has taken Ron and me 3 months to get to where we are over our similar situation, and we are just now about ready to look for another church. It's like losing a loved one: The grief must have time to run its course. It's like recovering from a traumatic accident: It takes time to heal. It's like taking piano lessons: We have to study God's Word and spend plenty of time with HIm so He can teach us how to go on from here. Don't think any of your friends and readers need to be protected from the ebb and flow of the emotional tides and currents you'll be going through. We are here to help you stay afloat. You ARE resilient, but it takes TIME.
Love, Nancy
