This has been a LONG road! I'm enjoying the last evening free THIS week, and next week we only have TWO nights - we have FOUR SHOWS next weekend. PHEW. But it's been a great experience - and we got a GREAT review from a local newspaper, so I've been beaming all afternoon. :)
I worked hard yesterday, and today it's all I can do to think straight - so I'm trying not to feel guilty for not doing too much! :)
What are YOU girls up to? I know Becky's on vacation with her family, and won't be back for a few days - lucky thing. :)
So, what's God saying to you lately? I have been simply AMAZED this year at how He's brought the world back to life almost overnight! The pear trees blossomed BEFORE the forsythia this year - that's unheard of! The underbrush is getting green quickly, as are the littler trees - we have one little crabapple tree that's leafing, and starting to bloom rather prettily! His handiwork never ceases to amaze me.
What about you? What's going on in your world? Are you being blessed? Or are you walking through a trial right now? May I walk with you? I'd love to pray for you.... Please, share. I care, and it's an honor for me to lift you to the Throne!

Lori, I'm so glad things are slowing down a bit for you. You've been like a little streak of smoke -- "there goes Lori!" and I'm hoping to catch up to you now. I take it you are feeling good physically or you could not have done all you've done. And it's wonderful that you got the good reviews. I know how that feels. Wow.
I could sure use your prayers. A conflict with leadership, in brief, has caused much consternation for our church, and my family has intimate knowledge of some serious things. Trying to balance confronting leadership with keeping it private and prayerful is just stressful. I'm pretty sure the result will be that we will be looking for another church, as the leader shows no interest in addressing the grievances that have been brought to the table. Council doesn't know what to do. It is a mess.
I've been pretty distracted by the whole thing and haven't quite been myself for about 3 weeks.
so if you'll put me on your list, you will bless me indeed.
Love,
Nancy
Hey girl. All seems to be well with my world and I appreciate you asking so that I can say that.
To God be the Glory!!
I hope that you get energized and your show doesn't take too much out of you.
Be blessed.

Hi Lori
I am Kimmie, one of Jennifer's friends. I clicked on the link she had in her post and I am so happy that I did. Your blog is inspiring and you are truly a woman of God. Bless Your Heart for offering your hand to others.
I have been going through a difficult time this week. My dad was diagnosed with cancer and had surgery to remove it yesterday. I struggled all week with other difficulties also. I would love for you to hold me up in prayer. Thank You. To get to know me better, you can visit my blog. I still haven't mastered the link thing. :-( I will sign you link at the top if you would like to visit me.
Blessings,
Kimmie

Hi Lori, I've found your blog via Jennifer (dust bunny hostage). I look forward to reading more of your blog. I actually do have a prayer request, and amazingly it is very similar to mammyt's request. Except, after much prayer we have already decided it's time to find another church home. The hardest part is that we have been friends with our Pastor for 30 years and attending this church for 15. It has been an extremely hard decision. We will be telling them our decision next week sometime. So, I guess, my request is that #1 truth will prevail, and #2 we be able to express our intentions with such grace that there be no hard feelings harbored on either side. This situation has definitely been an exercise in forgiveness! I know we don't know each other yet, so thanks ahead of time.
Have a great weekend!
Brenda
If you have a few minutes, I would love your input on my blog in regards to the ten struggles that Christian women face. Thank you!
