Monday is SHARE WHAT YOU LEARNED AT CHURCH!

Hi, dear ones. I'm so sorry; this virus has REALLY been vicious this time. I didn't even get to go to church yesterday - so I'm REALLY looking forward to what you have to share. PLEASE, share! :)

Lori, I am so sorry that you are feeling so awful! I will be praying for you. Unfortunately, I also did not make it to "church". I had to help with the children's Bible study.
Just to let everyone in on the reason that I put quotes around church... I live in an area where there is no church. There is a Bible study that I attend on Sunday mornings but it is a FAR cry form what I know as church!!
I will be able to attend a repeat of this Bible study tomorrow night, so I can share what I learn on Wednesday!
Again I hope you feel better very soon my dear Lori!

Lori, I'm so sorry to hear that you are still ill. No fun for sure.

Yesterday's sermon was with from a guest speaker & the topic was "Reaching Out" with scripture from James 2:14-26; 1:27 We need to be as the speaker put it: be as a "blind beggar showing another blind beggar where we found food." So true. We shouldn't be keeping the Good News to ourselves.

We are not to reach out in doctrine (it can be divisive), but to reach out in genuine love. We are to use what God has given us and not think that reaching out is only for pastors or missionaries. Sometimes the best thing we can do is pray. Not the least we can do. Praying is entreating the Almighty God for them. That's important!

It's one thing to respond to a spoken need, but it's even more of a blessing to know a person well enough to be able to help with an unspoken need. Pray. Reach out. Show the love of God. That's the sermon in a nutshell! (I have 4 pages of notes!) He also encouraged us to read the book, "In His Steps". I hope to do so again. It's been many years since I read it. Jamie

Lori, I hope you and Kenn are feeling better. Angela and Chris's class was about loving and honoring. We spoke of neighbors and parents. It was a wonderful lesson and really made me stop to think if I am honoring people the right way.
Praying for you and Kenn,
Lori Pierce

No church here either. *long story*--nothing more than Satan attacking though.

We did, however watch Joel Olsteen on tv. Once again his sermon was on declaring your victory. Declaring that you are successful. Claiming all of Gods gifts.

Crazy week already. But Satan is on his way out of our house right here right now....

My GOD is bigger than him.

I got totally side-tracked by putting together an herbal article which I had promised to do. We are still studying on prayer, Intercessory Prayer this week. I will try to share. Praying for you, but didn't realize you had the flu. How did I miss that?
I congratulated you on Mighty Mom's site - don't know if you saw it. I love your word work! You are a true champion. In case you didn't know, I have the honor of being a 2-time winner of the Silly Goose Award. Welcome to the dubious ranks of the Ceritfied Silly!
Love,
Nancy
